Help choosing a monitor

Synth3D

I am looking for a gaming monitor with excellent colour reproduction and I have noticed that many of the freesync monitors have excellent panels, VA or quantum dot technology. The only other alternative would be to find a G-Sync monitor with a VA panel but they seem to be a rarity.

Excellent contrast ratio and colour reproduction but my concern is the refresh rate. If I buy a freesync monitor, will I be able to take advantage of the freesync feature if I have a Nvidia card?

I have also seen the Acer Predator XB271HU G-Sync 165Hz monitor with an IPS, how does it compare to a VA? Will it have the same level of colour reproduction?

Thank you.

No you will not, only AMD.

In general if both are quality panels, an IPS display will have a slightly better color reproduction and viewing angles, but a VA will have a superior contrast ratio.

If that is the case, I could always cap the frame rate with RTSS depending on the individual performance of the game.

Do you know any G-Sync monitors which have a similar VA panel and spec?

I have found this LG monitor but the reviews state it doesn't have the same coloration as the Samsung panels. Is it worth waiting for the HDR monitors instead?

I'm not exactly a monitor expert. Freesynch and gsynch are pretty basic stuff. You'd be better off getting someone else.
