professional writing for engineers

During all of my studies I have never heard about this course (or type of course) though...

Essays are indeed BS. I completely agree.

And why grading computer science classes based on essays? Makes no sense to me.

How many years do you normally still have to go before graduation?

Two.

it isn’t. It’s just these BS general ed classes I need to take, one of which is also a require course for my major cuz it’s called writing for CSE engineers. Total BS. How often do engineers write their reports and review in essay formats?

Sudo make me a sandwich

@wasab I'm not sure how it's done in the US, but don't you have some kind of re-examination? (A second chance to succeed during the academic year.)

since you're in CS, have you tried any self-teaching? maybe you can attempt a coding bootcamp, though it can be a hit-and-miss and cost money and time

i can see the pointlessness of gen ed classes. i am taking some of those. but i found some of them to be actually interesting. college is a point where you learn how to learn
