Will the MSRP for switch games drop?

Im considering waiting for games such as Mario Oddesy, Zelda BOTW, DOOM, and Skyrim. Will these drop in price soon? Will the third party titles at least drop? 80 dollars in canada for what is almost a 7 year old game seems a bit stingy. As somebody who would only be buying third party games for the portability, are these worth it at full price?

Try 2nd hand market for the games. You'll get better luck there in terms of lower pricing.

It actually depends on how badly you want the game. 

Personally, it's a no from me if the price you're paying for for a 2nd hand is almost the price of a brand new basing on your location. Where I live, brand new costs around $60 and $40 for a 2nd hand. So in my case, considering the price in my area, yes it is.

Third party games like Doom and Skyrim will drop in price. Maybe not as quickly as the non-Nintendo platforms. Nintendo themselves don't drop prices until they have some sort of bestsellers edition (Nintendo Selects is the branding they use on Wii U and 3DS), but it'll be a few years (like 2-3 years; would be interesting to see the stats on this distribution) before a game gets that honor.

I'm still waiting for the Switch itself to drop in price, let alone the games.

Well, I saw a barely used one going for 224 here with two games.

Saw another chap selling some Switch games for 45 a piece.

Pretty much, if you want to get Nintendo products at a lower cost, one has to look in online sales area or the local sells ads.
