Msi gs65 which thermal paste/LM

m gonna buy a laptop for the first time in 10 years since im going back to school. After I have done a ton of research I finally landed on the new msi GS65 with gtx 1070 cause of the portabilty and the gpu. But after watching and reading reviews, I have noticed that it throttels and I know the diffrent reasons why.

After watching a youtube changing thermal paste Im sure this will eass or stop the throtterling!

So instead of buying it from bestbuy, pop it open, take out the mobo, switch paste myself. I want a pro to do it. And gentechpc does it. But I do not know which of the thermal pastes/LM I need or should pay for. Can anyone help me here?

CPU/GPU doesn't throttle? I don't think so. The laptop is a GTX 1070 and it is very portable, of course it would throttle at load.

Answering OP's question, I would recommend either the TG Conductonaut, or even the IC Diamond, as those two don't dry out quickly due to low heatsink mounting pressure.

Conductonaut on CPU, IC Diamond on GPU

GS65 has OKish cooling, just like Aero 15X. For comparison Zephyrus M has better cooling. Every thin gaming laptop will throttle under full load. Also 1070 in GS65 is Max-Q version
