So this is going to be a 2 question post.  Any help with the below questions would be great.

1) I am looking for a 14-inch laptop, and I wanted to get the Aero 14 i7-8750H but everywhere I look is says discontinued.  Any suggestions on what laptop I can get for grad school?  Not looking to get a mac anymore.  Want to make sure I can upgrade it over time.

2) I am looking for a small form factor pre-built pc with an Elgato PCIe capture card that can be pre-installed for me.  I am going to be streaming to twitch fingers crossed I am good enough to stream.  I will be playing on an Xbox one x with a 27UK650-W as the monitor that I will be playing my Xbox one x on.

I believe Hackintosh talk is forbidden.

But if you need a mac, just buy a mac, especially a laptop

He mention hacking.... release the hounds... lol

I tried that elgato pcie card once... it was  a complete pain and never worked right. Swapped it out for once of their usb models and it worked perfect.

I went back and looked at what the schools told me and I was mistaken.  I need a windows computer for school.  I am still looking to get a 14-inch computer that has win 10 pro on it.

I currently have a mid-2012 15-inch mac book pro, and the laptop is too big for when I travel.  I like the 14-inch notebook because it is the perfect size for me.  But the schools that I got my info from want me to have 15-inch laptops so I might cave in and get a 15-inch laptop.

Do you really need a second machine for capture? Since you're gaming on Xbox, wouldn't an external Elgato hooked up to your laptop suffice? I'm not experienced in this as a streamer but from what I've seen as a viewer, any additional lag external may introduce can be adjusted for by delaying your chat/self cam feed. That'll save you a buck.

Interesting your grad school program has computer requirements, including size. My grad program, computer science, didn't have any such thing. I guess you could get by with a beater there since you can remote to the university computers or AWS or whatever when you really need the compute power.
