Does LTT actually make money from youtube red/premium?

poochyena

Supposedly youtubers are suppose to, but I haven't heard any of them talk about if it is a decent amount or not.

They dont put anything up on YT Red/Premium so the answer would be no.

You do make a lot more money from people who have red/premium that normal viewers. If there using red you get a chunk of the money there paying every month.

A Youtube Premium/Red user does provide more money per view for a content creator.

But what I don't know, is since the service wasn't available in Canada, did content creators based in Canada get that money from Premium Users regardless ?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus / NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 / PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Win 10 Pro

I think the point of the question is that since Red/Premium doesn't serve ads because it's a paid service how does that pay out to YouTubers.

New revenue from YouTube Red membership fees will be distributed to video creators based on how much members watch your content. As with our advertising business, the majority of the revenue will go to creators.

So yes, youtubers do still get paid.

yes they do, they get a very small amount of money from people that watch their content while having youtube red.

Before my old shit channel got demonetized I got around $0.01 total(!) from 2-3 youtube red viewers, without having any content on youtube red specifically.

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

Yep we do, but not having used the service because it's not available in Canada I haven't been able to really promote it to our viewers.

Makes me wonder how many of LMG's American audience are paying for YouTube Red or should I say YouTube Premium for $11.99/mo.

Not many, but the views are worth so much more than regular views with ads that it has a significant impact.

I'm so glad to hear this! I got youtube red after I heard the ad money was drying up for everyone, so I wanted another way to support content creators. Nice to know it works.
