What laptop should I get?

Hello there! I need help to choose the right laptop for the next 3 years at least. I currently own a laptop with an AMD A8-6410 APU, 4GB RAM and 500GB HDD and I'm thinking about upgrading to a better laptop but I'm not sure about what I should get. I want a laptop be quick when I'm programming and to be able to play a few games. Since I usually have a lot of programs opened at the same time (browsers, etc) I'm not sure what CPU to buy and how much RAM I will need. I've seen 2 Lenovo Legion Y520 laptops with 2 very distinct prices and specs. The first one has a core i5-7300HQ, 8GB RAM, 128GB M.2 SSD + 1TB HDD (I'm not sure if it's 7200rpm or 5400rpm but that would matter that much) and the other one has an i7-7700HQ, 16GB RAM, 256GG M.2 SDD + 1TB HDD. They both have a NVidia GTX 1050 with 4GB, the first one costs 849€ and the second one costs 1100€. I can afford both but I'd prefer to save some money if possible. Which one would be better? Or should I get something in between like an i7 and 8GB of RAM?

Thank you in advance!

I'd say its worth it to get the better one, 8GB is a bit limiting nowadays.

I see, but RAM is upgradeable I guess I could still get an extra 8GB stick later, is the difference between an i5 and i7 noticeable for someone that doesn't do any video edit?

Not really. For gaming, you won't notice.

Both models seem not worth it. Where are you from? Budget? Usage? Requirements?

Any links of online stores?

I'm from Portugal, my budget is around 1000€. I will use the laptop like 8h a day and I want something that is 15'.6'' with a discrete GPU (I just play Fortnite and I don't mind to have it in minimum specs as long as the resolution is at 1080p), an 128/256GB SSD +  1TB HDD or a single 512GB SSD. I don't know exactly how much RAM and what CPU I will need. A good battery life would be great but it's not a deal breaker if it's not that good. I also don't want something that is extremely thick.

I guess this store wouldn't be that confusing, but keep in mind it's not in english.

Also, the prices are not bad at all compared to other similar laptops. It's much more expensive than the US but there's nothing I can do about that.

You can consider Tongfang (aka Mechrevo) laptops, they generally have good build quality and cooling.

1. GI5CN5E (Mechrevo X8Ti) with CFL-H and 1050TI:

2. GK5CN5Z (Mechrevo Z2) with CFL-H and 1050TI:

If you want a 1060 laptop:

Based on Quanta NL5A which has adequate build quality and cooling, only deal breaker is 7th gen 7700HQ (still a powerful CPU)
