Torn between the two

Hi,

I have found two prebuilds that are the same price, but I do not know which I should purchase.

I will be gaming at 1080p 144hz, I play competitive games like r6, ow, csgo and dota2. I also have a collection of single player games (Witcher 3, fc5, SoT, etc) and buy new games that look fun.

Which one do you guys recommend

If you are going for 1080p gameplay I would go for the 1070ti system because a 1070ti is already more than enough for 1080p and a 1080 would be even more overkill. Also the 1070ti system has a better cpu so considering you are already good for games the bonus cpu power could be beneficial in other things you decide to do

Both of those PCs have a weak point for gaming. The first one has a GTX 1080 but a 2700x (which isn't the king of gaming) and the other PC has a GTX 1070 Ti but an 8700K (which is good for gaming).

Why not just build your own PC for 1700 Pounds which is better for gaming than both of those pre-builts, like this one: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/YsLtnH

The 1080 Ti may be a bit overkill but you have the budget for it, so why not.

Why not a Xp?  kidding aside yeah the GTX 1080 Ti would be awesome but there is a huge price jummp at the moment between a 1070 Ti/1080 to a 1080 Ti.  But yeah if it were me I would try to find the extra scratch and get a 1080 Ti since when the 1180s come out at least the Ti should still be relevant.  I would buy whatever system, sell the card and just get whatever 1080 Ti you can find at the lowest price.  Maybe Nvidia will have the Ti back in stock for $700 again...
