What kind of cooling are you using to try to achieve this?

AMD Radeon R9 290X / AMD FX-8320 / Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 / Samsung 830 128GB / Seagate 7200RPM 3TB / Corsair HX 850W / BitFenix Shinobi XL / CPU & GPU Watercooled - Thick Triple 360 Rad

I got my 2500K to stable 5 ghz on my old Asus Z68-V Pro motherboard. Unfortunately, that board died of some unrelated reason. (my pump was leaking, shorted out the board). Now i have a cheap MSI Z77 G43 or something, and no watercooling. :(

Damn, i need to get a job.

stable = stable.

crash in prime95 = not stable.

prime 95 can give errors, but thats the programs fault. if your system crashes, it still is unstable.

Funny how I made a thread just like this.. before this one, and this is more popular, lacking any spreadsheet. Unreal.

Anyway, can't fight, join.. etc.

@Sammich I have a suggestion , why not make it part of the format that every person should mention what type of cooler their using and what type of temps they're getting?
That's a great idea! I'll go through later tonight and ask everybody what they've got.

Just redid my cooling setup and applied premium thermal paste to my 3570k. its idling at lower temps w/ H70 @ 26 on lowest temp core. heres my previous highest run @ 4.7 w/ old cooling config, this new one should with a little black magic voodoo trickery get me into this club as the first 3570k

Note my hottest temp of 92 @ the bottom

And if I succeed i shall do the Gangnam style dance to celebrate!

And if all else fails i'll either be bringing this baby outside or submerging my Radiator in ice cold water.

This is using a Noctua NHD14 with one fan...and it only gets up to 85C

I had this at 5.3 on my old board but that blew up before the CPU did, letting me get this O/C

Don't run 5+ 24/7 as I need over 1.4v for it so I generally run 4.8 as my daily, but here is a run at 5.0

I usually keep it at 4.8 Ghz, but I just loaded my 5Ghz OC profile. I've hit 5.1Ghz but I really don't like keeping my voltage so high.
