I'd love to see a linustechtips for womentm in pink instead of orange ;)

 

But in all seriousness, it's probably just the "menu" text getting cut-off from the page being squashed. Page looks fine on my HTC10 using chrome. I assume it might be a mobile Firefox quirk. Sounds like slow loading could be the cause. Do you run any plugins like adblock?9plEHK5.png

So, when LTT loads in my browser, drop-down bar in the to right loads at the text "MEN" before it actually becomes an icon. Sorry for the clickbaity title (just trying to add some humor), as I assume it reads menu? But it didn't display properly for several second.

 

This had been extremely noticable for a couple weeks I believe. I hadn't noticed it before, and it's continuous. I know it didn't used to be like this, and it makes the forum feel like it loads slower than it should. Could just be placebo.

 

Galaxy S7, currently updated, running Firefox.

It's probably just the word "menu" before it turns into the actual icon for mobile browsers. On Chrome/Galaxy S8+ i cannot replicate the issue

This is because icons are just text in a special font that makes them look like an icon (and you're seeing the text because the font hasn't loaded quickly enough) examples of how these types of icons work you can find here: https://google.github.io/material-design-icons/

It only happens the first time I come to the site (assuming it's cached after that). I have to close the browsing application and come in again in order to see it. And considering I don't leave apps running when I'm done with them, I get it several times a day.

S7 Edge, haven't encountered that. Usually the page loads fast enough for that to not be an issue.

But in all seriousness, it's probably just the "menu" text getting cut-off from the page being squashed. Page looks fine on my HTC10 using chrome. I assume it might be a mobile Firefox quirk. Sounds like slow loading could be the cause. Do you run any plugins like adblock?9plEHK5.png

Yeah, I didn't think because I don't use the default browser, but it doesn't have an issue on that. I don't have chrome enabled, so I didn't check with that either. No plugins, so I'll probably go with Firefox quirk.

 

I wonder if LTT would go pink for a day (or a couple videos) and donate a margin of it's ad rev for breast cancer non profits?

 

I cannot think of an appropriate LTT, tech, and breast pun that would be mildly acceptable.

As has been said, it's because the icon hasn't loaded yet, so it's falling back to the text equivalent, "menu" in this case. It's arguably better than falling back to nothing at all.
