Perhaps the ugliest cable extensions in existence

For Science!

So almost 1 year ago I wondered to myself whether ketchup and mustard cables were intriscally ugly, or whether it was the thin plasticy wiring that made it so.

Fast forward to now, almost expended my to-do list in PC building, i decided to take on custom sleeving. What a better thing than to realize that crazy idea.

Now please be gentle, this is my first time doing anything like this ;)

I actually think the first layer is quite pretty. the top layer is a bit too yellow/orange for my liking.

So are the ketchup and mustard intriscally ugly and even custom sleeving cant help their hidious look? i dont know. But these extensions may look good in a pseudo-retro build? haha who knows.

In the right setting, perhaps a meme build, this would probably look good.

BTW did you do this diy or through some online service.

I like the billet combs.

Thanks =)

The particular ones in the picture are the Alphacool Aluminium Eiskamms. In Sweden they seem to be very competitively priced (4.87 euro for 2 x 24 pin ones) and fit like a glove for the MDPC-X sleeving.

A cable a day keeps the doctors away. Only practice can make me better at sleeving! Today i have a custom sleeved 8 pin EPS cable for the PSU.

due to availability of extension connectors, i had to reuse the connectors from the PSU. Main lessons today were learning how to de-pin, more difficult than i thought!

Comes in a nice bee theme by default

Latest abomination, dual 8-pin pcie connector. Actually not too shabby looking color scheme wise. The stock colors are actually naturally bee themed. Maybe these are the extensions you need @Bananasplit_00 haha

Close to what I plan to do with mine, I'm planning on some white in there though. Been so long since I thought about it that I don't remember the order anymore but right now I'm broke af xD

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)
