Cases with support for vertical 2.5 slot gpu

Forest_Penguin

Hello All,

I'm looking for a standard atx case to replace my thermaltake core X9. My GPU is a palit gamerock GTX 1080 (2.5 slots wide). The card is insanely heavy and so I'd like to mount in vertically. what are some good affordable (preferably no more than $100 ish) cases that can vertically mount a 2.5 slot card?

Thanks, I've seen it. It's about both sag and looks but mainly sag. Jay's solution works reasonably well but not completely and he's using a much lighter card. My GPU is significantly heavier than your usual evga and asus cards

If you hate the look of a pole, @Mnpctech also sells a GPU bracket that sits under the GPU giving it more support

(I decided to include this image because it has a dog, and I love dogs)

That's a good idea, are there any other cases with these built in? I usually find poles rather obnoxious looking but in this case it looks pretty good.

Just updated my above posts with an alternative option that will work for any case! :)

at some point this summer I'll be making a new adj telescope rod with cushioned dampeners on both ends for supporting single card setups. Everyone loves simplicity. (yeah dixie's tongue hanging out out reminded me of GPU sag)
