Caselabs, Case's question?

MzCatieB

You can do that if you don't have anything in the top front flex-bay. Even with a thinner radiator you'll have issues if you have something in the top flex-bay. Since you won't have a bottom radiator you can put the front radiator starting at the very bottom flex bay. You'd have around 55mm of free space at the top open which should give you enough space to run tubing to the top right ports. If you don't want to cut it close just stick with a 240mm in the front and then you won't have to worry about it and can most likely have something like a single bay fan controller in there as well.

if i put anything in the front flex bays like a Blue ray drive/ fan controler, i will move them to the bottom, but im, thinking of just using an external for optical drive that just plugs in to a USB hub that sits under my displays

Well that might be best then. Keep it as clean as you can.

Hey, slow builds always turn out the best. I usually do builds when I need my computer so I have to rush.

I usualy take my time choosing parts, save get it all then get it together as fast as i can then spend a week adding in software and stuff.

This time because of the massive price tag compared to my current system (AMD Fx with a GTX 660)

Its gonna be done in stages. Im happy that i start work in the new years, and im getting back paid from the 9th dec so i will get like £700ish after taxes, thats enough for Motherboard and psu. maybe CPU

Sweet! Have you decided to do acrylic tubing or soft tubing?

in not sure, i might use Quick release's for gpu's so i can upgrade them easier, or put a draining point in the base.

I would <3 to do hard tubing but i think i might use Dark blu tubes than put light fittings on 1 end so i get the light blue in to dark to match the motherboard

Sounds like you might be better off doing dual loops. You could have each loop running a different colored fluid to give you the effect you're after. You should have enough space in the bottom for dual pumps and reservoirs.

Having done soft tubing and just purchasing hard tubing and fittings I find the price to be about the same. Problem with soft tubing is you'll most likely be using angle fittings in addition to regular fittings, which jacks the price up for fittings alone pretty high. With hard tubing you just need regular fittings, around $6 each for Bitspower. Then you just bend the acrylic to whatever angle you need. It's more work but it's more worthwhile. There's limits to how much you can bend soft tubing so you're almost forced to buy angled fittings, which I'm sure you're gonna run into with that top radiator.

i dont mind buying angled fitting, i could get my dad to help me out and do Brass instead. would look sexy as fuck but allot more restricting.

I was thinking of trying to use as little tubing as possible.

aroundd The cpu up to the GPU can be mostly Connectors, the GPU to the Rads will be 50/50

I will plan it all out, but i am getting an Inverted motherboard. Where i am putting the case, it will make the hardware more visible.

So you're not getting the SM8? Or are you inverting the case to have the window on the right?

inverting the case, i looked at the design, it looks pretty modular either way

Aw, I'm glad you're still getting it lol.

Inverting looks really cool but I have yet to try it. Computers always been on the right of me so it wouldn't work too well.

Since it's being flatpacked it should be the same either way you assemble it! You'll love their case design because you don't lose any functionality if you invert it.

i <3 the Case labs customization. They design the case as a hole then brake it down to each panel then generalize everything to make it more custom.

Also i have figured out my storage.

Getting a SSD for Boot, SSD for Software and 6 WD Reds for Storage.

Yep, I don't think people fully realize how much customization their cases have! I didn't know till I bought one lol.

You know what you could do so you don't need to worry about so many HDD's is buy a NAS enclosure and only run a couple in your PC for stuff you use daily. Might make more sense then having so many drives in your computer!

the work i do eats storage, I will be doing 4K 3d Rendering and stuff so i will be having a dedicated HDD just for my Raw video files

You can email them and they will tell you how long it takes. They are very friendly there!

You thought about going mixed colors, like inside black, outside white? I didn't realize you could do that till I bought it and wished I did!
