Corsair Obsidian 1000D

Corsair has added a new member to their Obsidian line up of cases, the Obsidian 1000D. The case comes in at a measurement of 693mm (27.3”)  for depth, 307mm (12.1”)  width, and 697mm (27.4") for height. Inside the case it allows up to 2 full working systems, with the main top compartment for up to E-ATX motherboards with 8 expansion slots, and the bottom for a Mini-ITX system and 2 expansion slots for dual slot graphic cards. To power 2 system at once, case also allows for installation of 2 power supplies, a ATX and SFX. The case has up to 8x 2.5" SSD trays, and 5x 3.5" drive bays. Fan support at its default configuration, supports up to 8x 120mm in the front, 2x 120mm at the rear, and 3x 140mm on top. Corsair also sells optional fan trays for the case if users want a different fan config, such as 3x 140mm in the front instead of the 8x 120mm that came by default. On the front it has your typical power and reset switch, along with 4x USB 3.0, 2x USB 3.1 type C, along with mic and headphone jacks. No words on when it will be on store shelves or the price.

Intimidating?  Poor soul, he must of never been in the presence of a TX10-D. 

 

At 500 bucks, no thank you.  It would need some serious function over looks at such a price.

I pre-ordered back when amazon accidentally had it up and I'm dying to get my hands on one of these! Good to see it did release today, Amazon sent me an email saying they aren't sure when they're actually going to get it.

Well, it's slightly less massive than 2 computer cases side by side so I suppose if you wanted a gaming system and then a less powerful general purpose system on a nearby desk for other people to use instead of your computer it might be useful.

Holy cheese balls, the back side looks like a old factory building.

So it's from CaseLabs? Always wanted one of their cases, I do like their Magnum SMA8 rev.A, but it's way too expensive and the tons of options makes it difficult to choose what I want and confusing at the same time. Do they not have any mounting options for installing a 5.25" DVD drive.
