Is potato a gender?

I contemplate the human condition often but not often do I contemplate the potato condition.  Round lifeless and plain.  A blank state of being if you will.  Perhaps this is the reason we wonder if potato is a gender.  As I stare back into the mirror with lifeless eyes looking back at me I feel an odd sense of comfort mixed with uncertainty.  Humanity vs potato.  Tomato tomoto.  The egg or the chicken.

But seriously, there are 2 main gender, male and female, with the rest being "neither", "in the middle", or "whatever the fuck I want to classify it".

Interested is a genetic mutation which causes underdevelopment of the genitals not a new gender. You can't identify your gender as a genetic mutation which causes a foul up of the two sex hormones which produce the female/male genitals.
