VSR vs DSR

xFluing

I just noticed there is a huge difference between AMD's VSR and Nvidia's DSR, namely that anything DSR would consider below 4x scaling is either blurry or jagged, whereas in the same resolutions with VSR it's perfectly sharp, so how can this happen?

"Blurriness" can be adjusted under "DSR smoothness %" and less = sharper image (default is 33%).
If image is still blurry, use Downsampling instead of DSR (you can't use both on top of each other).

Personally my biggest problem with DSR is you can't "DSR" non-native resolution.
Basicly : It SUCKS if you try to record video in ShadowPlay on any 4:3 or 5:4 or 16:10 or 21:9 monitor (YouTube is 16:9).
Downsampling FTW :)

What do you mean? I have 16:10 the only thing that's gonna happen to youtube if you record at this resolution is it's gonna pillarbox on the sides.

Yeah... and that's my problem.
Pixels get distorted because of those pillar boxes (since 1920:1200 > 1920:1080).
Basicly, YouTube adds bars to get around 2133x1200 resolution video, and then it gets downsampled to standard 1920x1080.
This makes video quality go down the drain, and that's not what I want.

You can crop 1920:1200 to 1920:1080, which bypasses this issue.

I have used them both, they both suck balls. Which is kinda sad.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
