Asus crosshair vii hero ports blocked

Installing a 2700x and the IO shield is weird

When I try to put the motherboard in, it won't slot into the IO shield ports. I looked at it, and it appears there's weird gold circles blocking the Wi-Fi extension screws from going through.

Wtf is this? Do I force it through? Do I poke a hole through it?

Had the same issue with mine ? You need to poke a pen or a screwdriver through the Wifi ports on the IO shield.
