Telkom South Africa

PAYING around R1200 ($96 US) for 10 mbps down and 1 mbps up, only getting 5 mbps down and 0.5 mbps up, and not to mention 200+ms ping and instabilities like you won't believe. It is basically your worst internet nightmare, served hot and fresh by Telkom lol

That is ADSL for ya :)

Curently I have 15/15 for 15lv or about $9 a month.

The best I can get is 100/100 for 35lv (about $22), but I don't pay for internet, my dad does and he just got the cheapest option. Will get faster internet when we move to our new house.

Sounds like you have a old plan. I just started services this month. Threaten to leave or just create a new account with a fake name. There's ways around paying standard rate.

I get 90/30.

I probably pay around $80 for the internet portion.

I pay a little over $200 for everything but I have phone and TV bundled.

The nominal cost of my home Internet is 10 euros a month, but realistically it's included in the rent (no opt-out). It's 100/100, and I'm really happy with it.

I retired father was paying 45 euros for a 10/1. He mentioned that me while I was visiting, so I looked into it. Turns out the company was sold, and the only option the new owner is offering for new/upgrading customers is 16/1 for ~32 euros a month, with first six months half off. They tried to sell us a more expensive (~25€) 4G solution instead, but better internet for a third of the old price? Yeah we went with that. I'll look back into it in October. :P

I plan on trying. Comcast makes such a profit anyways even if they gave half gigabit for 50$

Antietam Cable: about 50 miles from any major city.

200/10 ~$90 before tax ($200 bundle)

Honestly don't care about my download speed, but to even get 10 up I had to get their highest package. The rest have 5mb/upload. They now offer fiber but I'm 1 block away and can't get it :'(.

I'm been harassing them for like 2 hours at this pint and they won't change. They want proof that someone else is getting this rate.

Literally they have customers that are paying 60$ for 10/1 and 250/50 such a scam fuckin company.

Just so you know, this has been an ongoing thread since 2013. Anywho, I currently pay $105 CAD for 150/15, if you get rid of all the "new customer" promotions and loyalty discounts, you know, the way products should be sold because anything else is misleading advertising. (Sorry, the European in me doesn't believe in introductory pricing, since it's effectively price discrimination based on the deals that happen to be available when you sign up. Everyone should pay the same price for the same level of service. Period.)

Desktop: KiRaShi-Intel-2022 (i5-12600K, RTX2060) Mobile: OnePlus 5T | Koodo - 75GB Data + Data Rollover for $45/month

Camera: Canon M6 Mark II | Canon Rebel T1i (500D) | Canon SX280 | Panasonic TS20D Music: Spotify Premium (CIRCA '08)

Comcast is fucking you. We pay $46 a month for 100 Mbps and have access to their streaming service.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
