It didn't occur to me that I would just need to drill holes for the fans a mounts, I was thinking I would need to cut out a rectangle for the whole rad lol

Print a scaled radiator template, drill out two holes, mount and go ham

Oh nice those templates will be a life saver! Also I think I have bits that I can use for the screw holes but I will need to get that big hole saw

It has been a while since the last update. Life has been busy and progress has been slow but I will share what has happened.

 

The 750w PSU I was using died so I now have a 1000W one I will be using instead.

 

The plastic motherboard mounts I was using don't work. I don't remember if I mentioned that yet or not. It turns out they are too weak to hold the weight of the board and so I am going to use the ones the case comes with but that requires me to cut a slot in the bottom of the case so I can lower the motherboard a little but.

 

So that is what I have been working on. I drilled 30-something holes in the bottom of my case in a line and I will be filing it into a clean looking cutout.

I am really excited to get this build done! I also have some secret sauce involving LTT (though nothing as cool as what most people would imagine but still cool)

 

The main things slowing down my progress are the fact that I am getting ready to move and I am also getting ready for a wedding in August so I have been pretty busy lately

Wow I was shocked to see this thread was as recent as it was.

I thought for sure I was the only person on the planet with an EVGA SR-2

I've been building this system for over a year and a half now, including a completely custom case built from scratch.  Saving all my progress pictures for after I finish the watercooling

Had to order some thermal pads today off amazon as I didn't trust using the thermal paste that came with the alpha cool motherboard blocks hopefully I can get those installed Thursday this week then get the water cooling done next weekend.

I have an update for the first time in forever. The Build is done! At least for now. I have become a lot more busy recently in life and I am at a good place to call it done. I had to make some changes do to case limitations though.

 

Instead of going for a custom loop I have instead gone with two of the Corsair h100i v2. They are working great other than one initially being defective but I have since replaced it.

 

I am hoping to get some pictures of everything either tonight or tomorrow so be sure to check back if you are interested.
