Some packages on my Synology NAS fail to install

Go to solution Solved by Pixel5,

since nobody had an idea i just wanted to update that the problem is solved by the synology support now.

the problem was that the PGSQL service crashed because the database was corrupted, many synology package rely on PGQL so they couldnt install.

Sadly i was not told how to fix this myself so if you have this issue you will probably have to get it solved by the support.

i recently moved to a new Synology NAS and im now running a 918+.

During the move i also changed the file system to btrfs and now i have the problem that some things like the media server or video station just wont install without giving me any error message.

i also already reinstalled DSM but it still doesnt work.

does anyone have an idea whats going on?

If this began after switching to BTRFS, have you tried changing it back to something like EXT4 or checked the logs to find out why they fail to install? I don't have a Synology, but I know they run a flavor of Unix underneath, so if you contact Synology I'm sure there's a way to pull the logs and find out what's going on.

Desktop: KiRaShi-Intel-2022 (i5-12600K, RTX2060) Mobile: OnePlus 5T | Koodo - 75GB Data + Data Rollover for $45/month

Camera: Canon M6 Mark II | Canon Rebel T1i (500D) | Canon SX280 | Panasonic TS20D Music: Spotify Premium (CIRCA '08)

going back to ext4 is not an easy way and it also worked n btrfs for a while so thats not the problem.

i found the logs folder but its full of hundreds of files and i have no idea which one is correct sadly, was also expecting this to be easier because in the end its linux but seems like its far more different than i expected.
