Dark Base Pro 900 Fan Controller Issue

That indicates that the header you plugged the hub into is set to dc and not pwm.

I believe I have fixed it. I moved the fans to 2-4 so that the rpm reading is 0, and I changed the modes to PWM, along with using pump header 1 for the hub. Now, they are controlled and I have the minimum at 40% because under that seems to cause problems.

I’m having an issue with my Dark Base Pro 900’s Fan Controller.

The 3 included SW3 fans spin, but I can’t control them using my motherboard, desktop, or the included speed controller.

Any ideas?

Are you trying to run them at higher speeds? SW3 PWM are known for having a problem with these pwm settings. Adding a pull up can help.

I am not too sure what you mean by pull up?

Is fan controller connected to mobo? Also, have you read manual on how controller works?

What motherboard do you have and which header is the fan hub plugged into? What fans settings have you tried?

Do you have 3pin or 4pin SW3's and which headers on the hub are the fans plugged into?

I would suppose its a 4 pin, but it's been tried with 2 ports and I get no readings and the fans where pre-connected to the 4 pin headers.

Did you plug the fans into the 4pin headers on the hub? The rpm should only be read from the 1st header. If you haven't already, make sure the fan control switch behind the front door is switched to pwm mode as opposed to standard control.

It might be, but it still is quite clear on how to use hub. Set controller to 0 if you want to use motherboard. Which header on board you have tried? Manual says sys headers are DC by default so you need to switch them to PWM from BIOS.

They were already plugged in and I am not sure what you mean with the fan control switch, you mean the thing next to the LED switcher?

So the hub is plugged into sys_fan2? You should plug the hub into cpu_fan1 or pump_fan1 instead. Those two are pwm headers as opposed to the sys_fan headers which are dc.
