(Img attached) Dropped a monitor while moving (dumb, yes), repairable or am I looking at getting a new one all together?

Arush_K
Go to solution Solved by Murasaki,

Screen is damaged beyond repair.

Basically, I dropped my LG 29UM58-P while moving, and the screen kind of died, and looks like this now. I want to know if this is still repairable if I take this to the LG repair center (money is not really an object for this, I'm willing to repair as long as it's less than just replacing it all together here), or if it's too far gone and can't be fixed. I would just take it there if it wasn't a 2 hour drive from me and I don't really want to waste my time if it's not going to be repairable once I get there.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

It looks like a borken panel. Ask the repair center on phone what this would cost. I don't know if those 21:9 lcd panels are aviable on ebay.

I did reach out to them to see how much a repair/replacement would cost. If it's the same as I originally paid for it then I'll probably just hit up the newer 29UM68-P model or something, anything less and I'll just get the replacement.

Waiting on the response really now.
