Should I get a Vive?

Cyberspirit

Hey, I've been thinking about getting one for a long time but, I'm not sure if I should go for it or not.

Do you guys think that VR is worth getting into? Is the experience worth the cost?

Also, is it comfortable to wear with glasses on?

i personally dont see any games that i would truly enjoy playing enough to justify a 300-400$ cost.

I wear glasses and contact lenses, depending on my mood, using a vive without glasses is definitely going to be more comfortable, i have tried one with glasses and i got a lot of light bleed from the bottom of the headset due to how far the headset needed to be to not crush the glasses into my eyes, however i did not have enough time with it to "tweak" the FIT to try to adjust it and make it fit better.

Its definitely fun, but for me, A) i dont have the space to really use it properly at the moment, and B) there are very few games i have found out there that really justify the cost for myself.

Im also not one to shy away from impulse buying cool tech, so the fact i havent bought one yet, tells me something about it.

Thanks

i really like VR but i havent found the pricetag worth it yet, im holding out for cheaper prices but man do i also want to play Robo Recall.. that game is so freaking fun, spent hours upon hours playing just the first stage at a LAN party i was at

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Yeah, impulse buying is definitely one of my many flaws. xD It's hard to resist.

Isn't the Vive Pro supposed to be the Vive 2? If not then I'd assume the actual Vive Pro would cost even more than a Pro and I wouldn't want to spend that kind of money.

I don't think so. I see the Vive Pro as a way to milk money out of the people that already bought into the platform; that's why it doesn't come with controllers or base stations.

Oh, right I forgot that it didn't even have those. Well, I guess I'll try and wait a bit more and see if anything new pops up.

Owning a oculus and got it for some time now, first i tryed it much then I left it for a while since you really have to take time for a game/matches.

Addicted to Onward VR at the moment trying to be a bit competitive with it too.

Personally it was a easy choice for me, the Rift their controllers are really good.

Vive's controller just seem horrible and take out some feeling of the experience.

I wear glasses and contacts both do fine for me.

Personally its a bit hard to say if it's worth your money, depends how hooked you will be to it.

Quote or mention me if not feel ignored
