A lot of the times it seems products on Amazon just throw any fancy words in as tags,

Thanks,

Unlike the other fancy nonsense words that cable vendors often use, Premium HDMI is an official certification given out by the HDMI creators for cables that have been tested at 18 Gbit/s. Any other claims about "HDMI 2.0b" or "4K ready" or whatever can be ignored. You should look for the official premium certification label:

Hey there,

I'm having "Sparkle" problems on my Samsung 6400 in its native 4k (3840 × 2160) and set to 59Hz, after having gotten my GTX1080TI.
Here is an example:

I've read up on a few posts and FAQs about HDMI, and it seems that it may be due to my cable's 6m length, even though the cable states to be 2.0b and have 18bg/s in 4K at 60hz.

Here is my HDMI cable on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00KA6N63M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm looking at getting a shorter 3m cable, which will just about the stretch from my TV to my PC (6m was quite a large safety margin ... before getting my TV )

My current options is this one:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Primewire-Ultimate-18Gbps-Ethernet-Braiding-Copper/dp/B01CVQQV44/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1524158548&sr=1-4-fkmr0&keywords=hdmi+2.0b+3m+30gb%2Fs

Does anyone have any brilliant HDMI recommendations?

Thanks a lot,

Best,

Mango

You just need to look for a Premium-certified High Speed HDMI cable. Those have actually been tested at 18 Gbit/s.

Hmm ... HDMI also has an app to authenticate approved products with the QR-codes;

I check this one and it said its an unapproved product?

EDIT:

this seems to be the case with a lot of the certification images, maybe its the app?

The app only works on physical products, since the holographic part of the tag can't be reproduced by a screen.
