Upgrade or Downgrade

rececor06

So, God of War is coming out in 2 days and some say that it is the "Game of the Generation". My current rig have Intel Pentium G4560, Nvidia Gtx 1050 2gb and 8 GB of RAM. My question is, is it worth getting a console just because of the exclusive games OR should i just upgrade my current rig and just watch some let's plays on youtube? I have $350 to spend so help me please on which should i choose. Cheers

This depends on what you game on the PC, if you only play e-sports and such a G4560 and 1050 is enough and you could invest in the PS4 for a great single player gaming experience with its exclusives.

However if you want to game triple A on the PC like The Witcher 3, FFXV and all... an upgrade on the PC could be well welcome... issue is you probably won't do much on the PC with just 350$ as you'd need at least about 600 dollars to make a worthy upgrade like an i7 7700 and a GTX 1060 6gb.

if it's just a couple of exclusives then i'd say it wouldn't be worth the cost for a console, but if you have quite a few titles you want that's only on the consoles then i won't stop you.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

Im only planning to play God of War and The Last of Us Part 2 tho, i've played some triple A games like u said Witcher 3, and others like RotTR, MGSV, GTA V etc. with some settings turned down using this rig (currently playing Far Cry 5 on Ultra Settings btw).

Well I bought a xbox 360 SOLELY to play The Legend of Spyro Dawn of the Dragon xD

but being realistic nowadays I don't suppose it is worth buying a console only for 2 exclusives having a capable PC... I have a rule about it even nowadays where I won't give in if a developer chooses to make the game console exclusive I'll just not play it... Like Red Dead Redemption 2 was a game I really wanted but screw Rockstar I have an i7 and a 1080 Ti I shouldn't be forced to get a console just because they are lazy to port it.
