I'd rather do without a computer at this point lol.   I've had an ssd since it was several hundred $ for 32/64GB drives.  And had them in raid 0 back then ; )

I need a computer at this point in my life so I don't have a choice :P

I was constantly having to repair the one we had back when I was still married and raising a family. Dishwashers are something else I will never own again. I either wsh dishes by hand or use paper plates.

to me it felt like a waste and besides there's no space for it in our house

I also haven't had problems with single channel RAM.

Guess I'm just that guy where everything is fine except for RAM capacity and GPU.

I'll never forget the day I was at work in a coworker's office and we were getting ready to go and just needed to check an email, so he turns on the computer, and we wait, minutes go by, and eventually it boots, gets logged in and starts loading outlook, but it takes so long that we just give up and he boots his laptop, logs in, opens outlook, and we get what we need before the PC has even finished.  Keep in mind these were not a bloated corporate image, they were brand new, admittedly perfectly fast machines just ~a year ago.  This is what happens to Windows on a HDD lol

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Same here. I love the smell of coffee but hate the taste. The Roombas are overrated. Most customer reviews I've seen say they do not clean well and tend to get lost or miss areas. They are great for giving rides to cats, though.

I've never owned a gaming console, and must have used one at friends' house like 3-5 times in my life.

When you find yourself too often with the choice of spending the time you don't have cleaning your floors or having your house turned into tumbleweed paradise, that's when you start to appreciate the idea :P

Single vs Dual channel is still one of the most insignificant things to concern yourself with for what's worth... aside cases you heavily use the iGPU on an Intel CPU.

Frequency and Latency, aside raw amount obviously, are still pretty much all one should concern with, specially on common desktop usage and gaming.

In fact I used my system on single channel for months because my i7 8700 IMC was messed up due to over-pressure by the cooler, and I was lazy to loosen it up some, thanks to @MageTank to spot on the issue, after I finally did and enabled dual channel on my G.Skill kit I honestly saw no performance difference in what I do.

Same here. I wouldn't mind having a Surface but it is locked into Win 10. The others are IOS or Android, neither of which I trust.

I would honestly never buy a Surface. If someone gave me one for free, I wouldn't turn it down, but I would not spend money on one.

I wouldn't turn it down, either. I would be great for target practice.

Never owned or bought a smart phone, even though I could. Currently still using a super cheap Nokia 1200 - i think i bought that one around 2008-2009.

If i buy one, it would probably be for built in digital camera, you only miss it when you don't have it.

The Pro 3 and up are unlocked. It'd be (relatively speaking) easy to run Ubuntu or Android x86 on it.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.
