Can't get RS232 commands working for Chinese Appotronics Projector.

Remixt

I'm attempting to send an off command in Hexadecimal to my Appotronics FX530 projector via RS232 command set, but it isn't working. I've tried several baud rates (this one is specced at 9600)

Nothing seems to work. Since its a chinese projector I haven't been able to find any owners manuals or official documentation. All I have is a list of 16 digit codes. Does anyone have any experience with Appotronix protocols?

5A 00 00 00 03 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 5A - is the power off code that I was provided with.

I also have this image, but it doesn't help me much.

Wait, forgive my ignorance on this one. Do you mean I need to swap something physically or is there a way to swap RXD and TXD in terminal?

That is unclear. One cannot determine if the connector on the projector is DTE or DCE from the information given. If it is DTE a null-modem cable is needed idd, if it is DCE a 1 to 1 cable is needed.
