how do I enable free sync

RoyalGamer1

so I am playing Fortnite and the screen tearing is horrendous, Ive never noticed it in games before and now that I have its all I see when I play. My monitor has free sync and my card is AMD in the rig I'm using. in radeon settings it says free sync is enable and in my monitor settings I'm use game mode that free sync enabled, the free sync is like 40fps-75fps range and the game is running at 60fps so I think it should be working but its clearly not. is it because of fortnite? is there a setting in game? I looked and didn't see anything but I could of overlooked something. any help is appreciated!

What's your hardware?

Are you using display port?

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

May be a firmware issue on your monitor, or incompatibility with a driver update

Or even a windows update, the fall creators update broke free-sync for me on a Vega 56 GPU

Also are you running the game in fullscreen mode?
