Recommended Posts

Posted (edited) · Original PosterOP

Hi everyone, it's ya boi Beefy. I was wondering how other streamers are playing and streaming in 1080p while the method I'm using only lets me stream in 720p.  I use obs and have a gtx 1080,

i7 7700k, SSD.

Please help. Streaming Fortnite BTW

Best regards, Beefyhippo

Because most of the streamers have double the cores you have and/or using a streaming PC to take the load off of there main system

Just set OBS to use NVENC? Your CPU is lacking a bit in cores for normal OBS stuff potentially. Or just play with your CPU affinity and priority settings.

Upload speed? I don't see issues on specs side. Just up the bitrate and see if your upload can handle it.

That should be ok. I think 5mb is recommended, might be 8mb. Only way to know is test and see how much frame drops you get.
