- Corsair H115i Pro 280 Liquid Cooler

- Asus X399 ROG Zenith Extreme MB

- 2x Nvidia Titan V

- Samsung 960 Pro Series 1TB M.2 SSD

- Corsair AX1500i Titianium PSU

- Fractal Design Define R6 Blackout

- 3x Noctua NF-A14 Industrial 140mm 3000RPM Fans

Sprint has been announced, it's Rosetta@home. It actually works with ARM cores. I have my OnePlus 5 working on it. Won't do a lot, but still least it's something. Hoping to have a stockpile pending validation when it goes live.

I hope you can spare one of those titan Vs when the time comes!  Also I've been told there is a way to get more credits out of vega 64s by running multiple units per card, but I'm not sure how. I too will be throwing a V64 in the mix

That is set by the gpu_usage tag in the app_config.xml file. The very bottom of this URL has the instructions on using the app_config settings.

With Seti@Home, I run multiple units through the Titans but the V64's tend to occasionally corrupt results when processing multiple work units at once, so I do them one per card. Might be a project specific issue though.

Overall I think we're doing okay for a first time.

What hardware do you guys have involved? @Ithanul @palespartan @Nostradamus @porina @zzrhardy

I have a R7 1700 @3.75ghz, athlon x4 760k @4ghz.

Total of 20 threads, hoping to get another 4-8 threads online tomorrow.

only cpu I have that can crunch is my 4790k which I have at a very stable 4.6ghz on all cores. definitely waiting for the gpu event though. That is where I shine.

We have moved up to 18th place in swimming! We need to maintain our production there but if anyone has anything free to throw at marathon would be nice. I'm going to get another 4 threads on it ASAP. Try not to switch away from swimming atm as we don't exactly have much give. Think it will be a game of chicken with this and rosetta for us. Just wish Rosetta would let us use GPUs like F@H!

Yeah, rumor though is they are working on a GPU app for Rosetta.  Not sure how far along their dev team is on developing it.

Though, Rosetta can run on tablets, Pis, and phones.  Trying to find my stinking old Nexus 7 first gen.  I usually have it crunch those at times.

Still, the team is doing pretty good for its first Pent.

Sorry, but that staying on OCN.  I can't leave tictoc and the rest hanging.  Especially tictoc, that chap always seems to know how to help me out on Linux trouble when dealing with F@H and BOINC installs.

I will though get my lappy with an i3 to help out here.

That be very good goal to go for, especially for a first go at this event.

Hopefully next year, I plan to see if I can't improve my HTML-fu to setup a side tracking event site for the team.  Last time I touched HTML was back before 2000, it sure has changed a lot since then.

I have an R5 1500X in the living room I may be able to throw at marathon, but I may have already pushed my limits on what my wife feels is acceptable power usage in the house. But I may sneak a small SSD into the old i3 laptop I was about to recycle and try to get boinc running on Linux...  Which distro is best for folding?

A 1500X system doesn't use that much power right?

That reminds me... relatively new at OCN, signed up just to participate in the freezer burn OC comp, and have done next to nothing so far... like the concept of classes as hwbot feels like simply climbing up the leaderboards by quantity than quality.

Anyway, on the pentathlon I've put some more power on it...

Note to self: switch from swimming to sprint on Friday if I got the dates right.

Could you put the 1500X on marathon (NumberFields@home) instread? Could do with a little backup on that project. We're going to get overtaken there if we don't act. I'll be throwing a few cores at it myself.

At least Ryzen and TR chips like NumberFields units.

The Xeon I have takes like 10 hrs to finish an unit.  My TR 1900X eats them out at 5 hrs an unit.

Trying to get the 1950X up.  .....Miss placed my monster Linux USB boot stick.  Grrrr.  Anyway, at least my RAM sticks are booting at 3200MHz.  Thank goodness something going right.

I will have it split between teams.  So, 16 threads from it will help out here.  Once, I get a darn USB stick set to boot Linux up.

My 1700 seems to hate number field units, you running high RAM speeds?
