Are you appearing in the project stats? I think the combined stat sites only refresh infrequently so they will lag somewhat.

 

Edit: I can see you have credit on the U@H site so should be ok...

UK here too... I'm still burning through 1200watts or so in one room folding and running BOINC... And that's the bedroom!

Send me a PM with a link to your host stats and I will see if I can see your user sats if you like. Or just post it here if you don't mind a public reply. Also - BOINCstats updates once a day and not always at the same time. Any changes you make won't kick in till tomorrow.

Just added U@H project to BOINC and joined team LTT, and set the SETI project to not grab new work units for a while. It isn't like I am in the SETI top 10 or anything, so I can drop rankings for a while and pick them up later.

Hmm... this is certainly testing my hardware, and me.

 

Just found my Ryzen 1700 system, with Corsair AIO on it was VERY hot. Like 88C, fans confirmed spinning and clear of dust. I think it is old enough there might be enough liquid leakage that is isn't pumping properly any more. Now, what's a better cooler to put on it? Noctua D9L or the bundled cooler from 1600? I might just use the latter simply as I don't have to pull it from my 1600 system...

The 1700 is stock. Had the AIO for about 3 years now. I think enough liquid has been lost over the years it wasn't circulating properly any more. I'll look at refilling it another time, but for now that's ripped out and the stock 1600 cooler has been put in place. Now a comfy 60C running all threads.

On a spire you can get a comfy 3.7 all core in my experience. I just hate that the sillicon is great but the IMC can't go over stock speeds at all on my 1700. ?

Yah, 24/7 compute apps will quickly show you if there are any cooling issues happening. And it is high temp over time that does damage, not the actual heavy/constant workload itself.

 

The 1700X box I have uses a Corsair H115 and it works well when serviceable, something must have brucked.

I used to run it at 3.6 but I wasn't 100% sure on stability so left it stock. No problems with ram up to 2933 here, for 3000 rated Corsair LPX. What ram do you have and recent bios on mobo?

I've been into distributed computing for a loooooooooooooooong time so I'm well aware of that. This is the time of year when you really notice things going wrong as you lose that edge from winter temperatures.

I'm using the newest out and I have two kits, both 4x4gb. One is dominator platinum and the othtter ADATA XPG. Currently have the aorus x370 gaming 5.

GPU 1 at 75C

GPU 2 at 83C

GPU 3 at 71C

GPU 4 at 81C

 

Time for some undervolting I think!

For the event so far, You need too run either Universe@home or numberfields@home using the team called LinusTechTips_Team other projects will be added later. currently both of these are CPU teams so you can continue to fold with your GPUs for the time being!

Paused my F@H CPU, running 14 threads at 3.9GHz on U@H on LTT team, left one core available for regular computer use and polling on the the F@H GPU tasks.

Remembered my old HTPC was in the loft. Pulled her out of retirement for some BOINC action! 

 

Also pulled the front off of my H500p to help temps. It's not needed, but cooler = longer life!

Anyone have advice for running something like numbers@home at the same time a folding on an nvidia card. I remember that back in the day the idea with folding cpu and gpu was to disable a thread for the gpu traffic was wondering if you guys do it with the cpu maxed out or if you had a certain config you use? @Ithanul @Ben Quigley

Im folding and running all 16 threads for Boinc, seen a 5% reduction in PPD or so
