£600-£700 Laptop

Ok.

I was going to buy my son a laptop for Christmas but i thought i might as well wait for the sales and his birthday is in January so the laptop would be a Christmas and Birthday present all wrapped in one. He wants a 1080p screen and the best GPU he can get for his money. An SSD would be handy but is not needed. Plus an operating system is not needed.

There are a few choices.

http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/SkyFireIII-14/ (i5 4200m, 8gb ram, 120gb ssd, 500gb hdd, GTX 760m) (This is based on the MSI GE 40)

I have read that this laptop gets really high temperatures.

http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/optimusV-13/(i5 4200m, 8gb ram, 60gb Msata, 500gb hdd, GTX 765m) (This is based on the Clevo W230ST)

I have read that this laptop gets really loud and has short random bursts of 100% fan speed. (I dont know if this has been fixed yet)

Any other choices will be welcomed

I also thought the first one but my son really likes the keyboard and thinks the profile of the Optimus V is "cooler". So he wants that one.

Also is the only difference between the i3 4100m and i5 4200m turbo boost? As turbo boost is only for 1 core and that doesnt help gaming much is it better to go for a i3?

Edit: Ok, i convinced him to get the Skyfire 3 as it is pretty much the same thing.
