Steelseries Ikari Laser. It's dead Jim.

CoffeeMugs

Guys. I created this account for one thing.

I. Love. This. Mouse.

I've owned one for many, many years taking extremely good care of it. Even after it started registering single click as double clicks, I soldered in some new omron micro switches. But I'm afraid at this point it's been dead for a while, I've just been shuffling a mouse corpse around. There's no two ways about it.

I've tried and tried and tried every mouse I could get my hands on, but nothing has come close to the level of ergonomic fit (for me). I can't be the only one, this mouse was so incredibly good, surely tons of other people are in my situation.

Do YOU have any recommendations for a mouse with similar ergonomics?

Please God. Have someone give me an epiphany. I need this. I need a win.

Buy a nice mouse and then 3D print a housing the same as your old one and transplant the guts into it.

I thought for sure I had written a reply for you guys. Must not have hit submit, sorry about that.

3D printing would be too much work for me, I've done projects like that before, and it's a lot of trial and error and a very iterative process - it is for me at least, but my workflow might not be the most efficient.

I tried the G600, I even think it was one of the other options when I originally got the Ikari Laser - I might be mistaken. But it's not the mouse for me.

Never heard of Mionix, checked it out. And holy smokes it looks near identical. The Naos looks a bit bigger over all, but it's worth a shot. I've already ordered one, will check back in with my final verdict when I've tried it out.

Alright guy.

I just wanted to update you.

I got the Mionix NAOS 7000 and it's unbelievably close to the Ikari Laser. I think I even might like the NAOS better, incredible ergonomics. Needless to say I already got a second one for backup and I'm considering buying a third. Thanks for the help!
