Corsair void surround aux connector

So i dropped my controller the other day and i guess the cable took the impact... The cable at first was a bit bent and only one ear was working so i had to turn it to get it to work again and while doing that it finally broke inside my controller ??‍♂️ My question is would it be smart to try and fix it with a trss connection that i found online? I wanted to buy it from a Best Buy and return the broken one but that’s kinda screwed up. Also i can’t get help from Corsair because i bought the headset on eBay.
