@LinusTech I'd make an argument for the NEED for a suppressor, couple of years ago on a Saturday trying to sleep in after a LONG work week some assholes where firing off guns on a piece of private property (one shot every couple minutes) aout a quarter to a half a mile away and it was driving our dogs fucking crazy and it woke me up as it was loud enough I could hear it in my house, that shit is fucking loud and was pissing off the whole damn neighborhood but there was NOTHING we could do about it because they where following all the gun laws (I.E., far enough away from the road, not firing toward the road and all that kind of stuff).

#saveGunJesus

When is youtube's CEO going to get canned? Site has been downhill for content creators for years now it seems like.

5abf035475aea_IanGunJesus.jpg.d34c5c3e6d29596a30120ca35f316fd2.jpg

I see ads all of the time on forgotten weapons and other channels like it or related to it, pretty sure it's not because they don't draw in viewer base for advertisers, seems to be youtube taking a political stance. That Amazon/Twitch Site better come soon man.

The entire forgotten weapons channel is about firearm history/education, very likely youtube shuts them down because he shows disassembly of weapons and does most of the videos from auction houses who get the guns in for sale. 700K Subs and always climbing.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

One of the few, if only, reasons I can see suppressors being actually useful is in the culling of feral/wild hog populations (or other invasive/overpopulated species). A person with a suppressed AR-10 (.308 chambered AR-15-style rifle) can take down several hogs in a group without said group of hogs noticing. Other than that, it's kind of pointless. In North Carolina, hunting with suppressed firearms is now legal, and is mostly due to the feral hog 'problem.' I put 'problem' in quotes because it's only an issue because of the massive amount of pig farms to supply delicious bacon and other pork products. So, like with anything in the gun debate, it's a bigger ball of wax without a simple solution. Many will debate the 'benefits' of suppressors for a hunter's hearing, but if you're rattling off more than two or three shots when hunting, you're doing it wrong (unless you're slaying those damn hogs). Waterfowl hunting is the only hunting where you could be firing multiple rounds in rapid succession, but a suppressor on a shotgun is about as logical as a muffler on a monster truck. Nutria can be taken out with .22's and don't really need a suppressor...but it sure as hell would be fun xD Having said all that, to legally own a suppressor still requires quite a bit of paperwork and legal checks, so it's kind of a moot point anyways.

What pisses me off is that youtube isn't even entertaining the idea of going to gun/hunting/enthusiast businesses to reach out for targeted advertising when they claim advertisers are shy about ads on those channels. Remingtion/Federal/anyone would LOVE to have targeted advertising to the degree youtube offers and would pay DEARLY for it.

Also, things that are legal to own and use in the united states:

Machineguns

Silencers

Shortbarreled rifles

Shortbarreled shotguns

Grenade launchers

Destructive devices (like Molitov Cocktails or pipe bombs)

Any Other Weapon (Firearms that do not fall into specifically Title I regulated areas)

What you have to remember though is that these sorts of items are HEAVILY regulated. There are THREE SEPARATE GCA ACTS (1934, 1968, 1986) that regulate these kinds of firearms. For instance, if you want to buy a MG, first it must be have been manufactured, stamped, and registered to the NFRTR by 1986. Anything made after 1986, cannot be transferred to anyone unless you hold a Type 07 with Class 2 SOT modifier Federal Firearms Licence and a letter stating that it is a demo unit for governmental business (as a means of day to day business, individuals are not permitted to be Type 07 SOT FFLs). This fact alone makes a 2oz hunk of metal that the Tech branch has branded a component of a MG worth $10,000 or waaahayhay more. Second, you must file for transfer to the NFA branch of the FBI. This process takes FOREVER (ie, many people waiting for transfer of a silencer are at over 1 year) and includes a studious background check. Not once, but TWICE! Once from the owner to transfer to a Type 01 w/ Class 3 SOT FFL holder and again from the Type 1 Class 3 SOT FFL to you. Each transfer of ownership requires that the previous transfer was completed successfully. You are banking on the hopes that the FFL you are transferring to AND FROM will still be in business by the time the NFA branch processes your 2nd Form 4. Oh, did I mention that BOTH TRANSFERS are taxed at $200 each? Most NFA purchases are lifetime purchases. most owners do not sell them for the reasons stated above.

I will echo @Daniel644 thought on silencers. They aren't JUST for the shooter. They are for anyone within earshot of a gunshot. Everyone at the range, everyone around the range, and that includes animals (like dogs while upland game hunting) has the protection offered by the suppressor and are adventitious for varmint and predator hunting. They don't suppress the sonic boom a supersonic projectile creates as it travels along it's flight path, it significantly reduces the dangerous levels of sound pressure generated at the muzzle of the firearm. Anyone who has stepped into an indoor shooting range would immediately understand the benefit of silencers. One shot is all it takes to PERMANENTLY damage your hearing, which usually results in a lifetime of high and/or low pitched sounds only the listener can hear (Called Tinnitus). Tinnitus is irreversible and cannot be alleviated. There is NOTHING you can do to stop the noise you alone only hear. When you have Tinnitus, you will never again know the peace in silence. silence doesn't exist for you anymore.

Love you guys, but just wanted to say that as a headphone user; I'd take a million door screeches over Luke's deafening laugh. The compressor you guys have does a fantastic job of keeping those short bursts of noise down to the point where they're rather soft, but Luke's laughter overpowers it to the point where I need to take my headphones off. :( I'm not asking you guys not to have fun- hell; that's why I tune in to the show because I love the less-filtered live selves you guys portray, but I'd prefer just keeping this in mind if at all possible moving forward. Thanks!

so i test the apps and camera quality on different devices test which is compatible etc..
so me and my colleague use AR a lot even for apps for medical industry.

ofc its not perfect nor its very high end , we are small team. and the ar still need long R&D and couple of break through's to reach a good usable result then it will become important part of our lives
