Enthoo Primo Tempered Glass Mod?

UnaverageVague

Okay so I’m a pretty big fan of the Phanteks Enthoo Elite but yeah... can’t afford a 800$ case, so I’ve been taking a look and the Entho Primo and it has pretty good room and good custom water cooling capabilities as the Elite does but the only con I have is that the Primo doesn’t have a full Tempered Glass window, so has anyone been able to find or do a Tempered Glass panel for the Primo?

Also I’ve seen a thread that was made at the end of 2016 but the person was only able to get info about a “Acrylic Panel Mod”, I’m mainly looking for Tempered Glass.

If there isn’t one, can someone give me a possible alternative to the Entho Elite just without the 800$ price tag?

I think the Luxe is smaller than the Primo, I really like how well the Primo is designed not a fan on how the basement on the Luxe stops halfway across the width of case and the length of it goes close to the front of the Glass, leaving no room for a bottom rad. I’m kind of going for something along this look 4f35d19a76b0034aee7b137cf5461377.jpg

Like all Phanteks cases, all the panels within the case are modular / can be removed (screwed together instead of rivets).

The Luxe is definitely smaller.

Going to be tough if you want a design like that.

You're looking for a double-sided / double-compartment case (e.g. PSU, HDD, etc are on the rear side of the motherboard tray?)

  • Corsair Air 540, or 740.
  • Again, BeQuiet! Dark Base (Pro) 900  maybe something to look into.
  • Thermaltake has a few cases with your design plan / layout (Core X71, View 91...and some of their contraptions like P5 Core, Tower 900?)
  • Lian-Li (prices do vary with their cases...$250 ~ $550+)

Lian-Li cases are not cheap, but still cheaper than $800 I guess...

Maybe, just maybe...check out these too:

  • Lian-Li PC-V3000WX
  • Lian-Li PC-O8RGB
  • Lian-Li PC-O11ROG
  • Lian-Li PC-O11WX

Corsair 900D is pretty old...we don't have much details on the Corsair 1000D, though...but the "leaked" info is $499.

The challenge with any PC chassis is keeping the glass pane from falling out of the recessed edge of the chassis. You would have to eithermake brackets that held the glass panel in place...OR thread four screw holes and use four thumbscrews to secure the panel onto the side of your chassis.

mnpctech machines their side panels from acrylic, so they have a lip on bottom to hold it in place. the single thumb screw in this video secures it further. this allows the panel to mount flush into your chassis.
