You've got quite the SLY setup.

That'd be a slicker, on-topic pun if I said it out loud.

Are there any plans for Q6600+8800GT or something similiar? I had a Q6600 and a friend had an E6600. Our computers were BEASTS in the Vista Era (even if we both still ran XP 32bit).

How about original Crossfire (one with external cables) ?
Also, driver Forceware 180 series throws aways that stupid "only one manufacturer" rule from SLI, Source : LINK.
Q : Does it work with older DX9c GPUs as well or is it only for DX10(+) ?

Was a good video, but it just nailed in "1 card is better than multiple"

Never in my life have I even considered SLI and I'm glad about that.

  • 2 years later...

Have you ever seen the Gigabyte 3d1 card? It was a dual-6600GT single-card that existed more to capitalise on the novelty of SLi than on actually being worth having (a single 6800GT was a better buy). It also came with a motherboard that had VRMs on a riser card for cleaner power - which would fry most of the system if it got knocked while it was on (which happened to me - it fell out and the motherboard, CPU, and GPU all died).
