CPU at 97 C with 10% Load?

Hey everyone, according to cam, my CPU's (i7 7700K) temperature is at 97-100 degrees Celcius under <10% load and the fans have become audibly louder. I'm using an NZXT Kraken x62 to cool it, and CAM also said that the pump and fans were malfunctioning. I don't have any applications open beside chrome, discord, and Spotify, and I don't know what's causing this. Is there another software to check my CPU temperature? And I've had it at much worse loads than this and it's temperature has never reached anywhere near this high, so I think it's whatever is checking the temperature that is messing up. Please help!

Make sure everything is plugged in correctly and if it is still not working RMA it to NZXT.

And in the mean time, avoid using the computer since throttling to its max temp at idle indicates it is not happy

Ah the good ol' NZXT pump...

Check every cable, remove any extension or fan controller/hub, if that doesn't help the pump is dead

Or just a header problem(although that's unlikely); I would check with different fan headers as well.

First things first. Remount cooler and connectors. Then boot into BIOS and see how temp is. Keep case open so you can listen and see if pump and fans are working or not. If everything is good, you can move to Windows and see what CAM reports.
