So, about those custom copper loop ram headspreaders I had added to the above build ... (and I have no idea what I was doing on the back of those graphics cards):

[snip]

Specs plz!!!

Wow look at how many raspberry pis those copper heatsinks could cool

Best to put the copper sinks on the bottom because they have high thermal conductivity

I have a few things:

Brazilian ABNT standard IBM Model M from 1994 (Lexmark, made in USA, needs a new cable):

Chieftec Bravo BX-01 Series chassis (2007):

Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 w/ an i7-930 (circa 2010):

is that a graphics card? If so, the model? Is there a fan?

The first little haul of some of my dad's old shtuff. Shitty pics, but also shitty lighting.

very nice, ATI VGA wonder was my first VGA card.  They're still worth about $60-$100 on ebay.

The compaq ram board, i haven't actually seen that particular one before.

The first one is a clock i/o board - older PCs had no way of storing date/time  (and hardware settings were hardcoded dip switches prior to CMOS).  Just pop a coin cell in there and you're set. looks like one serial, one parallel with headers for perhaps another serial and/or game port.  did that come with an additional cable/connector? it should take up two slots.

If it did come with an "accessory" it's either long gone or hiding somewhere in the mess of a house it came from.

Also I'm super hoping that at the very least the old Compaq 386 that's in the basement works properly. Both it and a Compaq 286 have been sitting down there for god knows how long. The actual hardware isn't what worries me: I'm worried about the PSUs being toast, the HDDs being locked up, and/or leaked batteries. At least if shit is toast I can always steal the expansion cards and the CPUs/possible math copro's just for more cool shit in my room.

Can I just drop a casual reminder:

Please do not quote images, just for other people's courtesy.

Probably should say this at the start of a new page or else it'll be buried under a slew of images. I'm one of 10 people who actually reads the posts of LTT past.

I'm pretty sure it could also be pinned up at the top so that it's visible that way.

This old Quadro FX 3450 (equivalent to a 6800 gt, I think, it's the same form factor so I assume it is) I used to game on this until 2015, so yeah you can tell it was a nightmare with games like path of exile being one of my favourites back then, even Half Life 2 would have issues with it.

I couldn't use it in a retro system even if I wanted to sadly, because it suddenly started artifacting by itself after 2 years in storage.

Full sized pics in spoiler below.

Honestly Dell's current non-chiclet keyboards are probably my favorite modern membranes. I have one (albeit a Spanish model so the layout is fucky unfortunately) and I rather like it.

Hell my #1 favorite membrane is an old QuietKey I picked up BNIB for like 20 bucks off eBay. I really wish I could find an Alps model but I guarantee that would come with a hefty premium (and probably not be BNIB).

I just picked up a few older AT101s, with the old style logo.  Talk about yellow!

and a bunch of these old AST keyboards.. i believe they're membrane, but they're awfully heavy.

Not exactly old but this is the dell keyboard I have, only its a British model. I use it with my secondary PC (The Oldie) and I can't fault it. My school had all KB series keyboards.

Those were beige when new, they react with UV light over time as the materials break down.  Look up retrobright.

Another project of mine. T3500 with a Xeon w3540, 12g of DDR3 ECC (triple channel), ATI HD4670, and other goodies. HD4670 is a place holder for another card so the finished build will be posted as well. Wanted to show off the mod to the factory passive CPU cooler, added a 80mm fan. Temps after 15min of compiling were 60c, down almost 10c.

Yes those are zip ties, yes it's a LED fan, no I have no shame.
