And it says it's brand new. Who would even buy this for this price? You can see how its price compares to way newer CPUs.

What !! Who would buy it with such a small price difference between it and the I7. Well except collectors .

I find quadro p2000 that is more expensive than gtx 1060 6gb here before lol

I have this ancient Mac performa 6200cd power pc which has a crt moniter and a ball mouse with only one button xD. If you plug Apple EarPods into the power pc and listion to a cd in the CD player it sounds almost perfect. The old Mac also has a floppy drive in addition to the cd drive.

2x Powermac G5's. Just picked up yesterday for $20. Both identical, only one has a GPU.

Model A1047 EMC 1969C (June 2004).

Dual 1.8GHz PowerPC 970fx.

Nvidia GeForce FX5200 64mb AGP.

RAM, not sure how much, one has more than the other. It's 400mhz DDR though.

80GB 7200 HDDs.

Would like to get at least one of these back up and running as original as possible for nostalgia and to keep as a working relic. The other, I might turn into a new build project.

Had some time to take a closer look at the G5's this afternoon. One of them has a 1TB WD black in it, but that machine wouldn't power on or anything. The other one, I installed the spare ATI GPU I had from another G5 a few years back and it powered on! Showed on-screen what I assumed was a "no bootable drive found" message. Swapped the 1TB black into that machine and boom, it booted to the OS. Previous owner hadn't wiped it. Loaded with tons of apps and files. Kinda not sure I want to snoop through it, lol.

Pretty stoked though to have a working G5 from 2004, plus a bunch of spare parts. :) Not sure the fans are running properly, but this thing is loud...

I think due to the insane build quality, these machines will eventually go up in value, if you can keep them running.  If you had the storage, it's conceivable that you can load up on $20 G5s today and sell them for $500-1k 15 years down the line.

Good job getting it up and running!  the 1tB black alone is worth $20

I'm not an expert! In fact I'm usually just 1 google search ahead of you.

Yes, still works. I don't use it much, mostly playing Tetris on it. It's a IIe, it's not worth as much as a II Plus or a II.
