It was $15 or so for the shipping. Practically free.

That's amazing.

Also, that looks like an identical layout to my Asus AM3 board (It had USB 3!), except it has an optical audio port.

Also, FireWire and eSATA.

Yeah, this is an am2+ board, 2008-ish. In fact, has an FX 8300 iGPU.

An ASUS motherboard, with 4GB of RAM and a Phenom x4 9000 series from 2006 (unknown model). Bought it on ebay for one cent. Yes, one cent. Am planning a retro/Windows Vista build with it, featuring a Radeon HD 4870 x2.

The board itself is from mid 2008, and the CPU is from either very late 2007 or early 2008. Nice board for a Windows Vista machine.

Main System: Phobos

AMD Ryzen 7 2700 (8C/16T), ASRock B450 Steel Legend, 16GB G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 3000MHz, AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB (XFX), 960GB Crucial M500, 2TB Seagate BarraCuda, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations/macOS Catalina

Secondary System: York

Intel Core i7-2600 (4C/8T), ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3, 16GB GEIL Enhance Corsa DDR3 1600MHz, Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB, 240GB ADATA Ultimate SU650, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations

Older File Server: Yet to be named

Intel Pentium 4 HT (1C/2T), Intel D865GBF, 3GB DDR 400MHz, ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB (HIS), 80GB WD Caviar, 320GB Hitachi Deskstar, Windows XP Pro SP3, Windows Server 2003 R2

yeah, that's what I was thinking. CPU says 2006 on the side, but don't know when that actual unit was manufactured.

Note the Zip drive.

It says 250MB.

WOW... A Voodoo 5 6000 AGP? There are believed to be only 150 or so out there. That's incredible. Does yours work?

Yes it does, although it's a revision that doesn't handle FSAA X4 or X8 sadly. It'll crash on those; but does FSAA X2 perfectly fine.

The card on the back of the box is actually my own one. I even printed the vinyl fan stickers for it myself. :)

I don't have any blank Lightscribe discs.

I didn't even pick out the drive.

My dad did when I was 4, in 2010.

Did you install Windows 2000 on it? Win2K would not have shipped on a Core 2 Duo machine, especially not an Inspiron.

I'm one of those odd people who liked Windows Vista. It's still in use on a couple of my systems.
