I have a few, but WOAH! That is definitely a few of them!

The Core 2 Duo's make good Windows XP machines. With a decent video card they're great for games of the era.

And they also make decent Windows 10 machines...as long as they are Penryn. For whatever reason Conroe even with higher clock speeds and faster RAM just can't manage it.

Lack of SSE4 instructions before Penryn.

My Athlon XP 1800+ should be fine, since it can cool the 3000.

Oh yes! Found a new sealed Voodoo 3500 TV as well. Can’t wait to add it to the collection, albeit while already having a 3500 TV.

Just leave it in the box then, and keep on hunting. My previous N.O.S buy ended up being cheaper than used motherboards of the same model. While also being located within the same state.

I wouldn't have it or my good Socket A cooler if I hadn't impulse bought my Athlon XP alongside a couple of less common AGP cards. Had to order my first sticks of DDR though...got everything up to and after it because my family pretty much didn't buy a new PC when DDR was relevant.

That’s what happened with the voodoo new card. Was cheaper than a boxed used one is saw. I love the tech of my youth. Got a socket 754 Althon 64 at the moment I fire up to test and play some games.

This also just arrived, new old stock also. €28 with shipping. Got that new gpu smell when I opened the anti static bag without breaking the seal.

NICE!

The 500 Fermi series was decent! I'm actually using the GTX 580 in my current system while waiting on 3000 series stock!

What sort of performance are you getting from it?

Asking as I'm probably going to sell on the Aurora when I'm finished and move on to another project. I'm not much of a gamer (the most modern game I have is Watch Dogs 2)

Its going to be paired with an i7 950

It’s decent, played Witcher 3 at medium settings around 40 FPS, at 1920x1200

This laptop is possibly older than i am (i was born in 1982).  This laptop belonged to my grandmother and my dad being in IT just kept it around.  He passed away 2 years ago so i cant ask him anymore info on it.  It still boots, but no clue how to navigate it past this page.  The battery pack is still there but it swollen and not usable.

I have a 2nd laptop that will be in another post.

You're probably right there. That card would be far too new for Clint.

Crossed wires I think. If you're talking about the Voodoo I saw that one.

My card is the gtx 570 which is probably too new for Clint.

He quoted you, when I think he meant to quote me; as I got the Voodoo 3500, that Clint also got and opened. I already have an open one, so one be touching this one.

My Voodoo 1, and Banshee
