I'm just sad, since it has a stress/old age crack in the corner, and the backlight is finiky for some reason. Still a badass laptop. :)

paint something badass over that crack or maybe a Samsung SSD sticker over it because of irony. The backlight sounds annoying, maybe turn it in?

It only happens if you wiggle the screen just right. Otherwise it's fine.

Here are some pictures of some junk people have "donated" to me recently.

I managed to identify the CPU in the micro-atx motherboard as a Pentium Dual Core E5200.

I'm assuming that last PC had a Socket 370 PIII or Celeron? Also, please tell me these were taken on a smartphone. They're blurry.

Yeah I think you are right there, the cooler definitely smacks of that generation. I've not bothered looking at it to be honest as it was offending my eyes with cables and dust.

They are indeed phone jobbies I'm affraid, it's a really old Blackberry, and unnatural light source means even more blurrrr.

More old stuff, although Not too old.

This is my old poor abused Pentium II laptop I've had since like 2002. It got pretty beat up over time its the lightest of the old laptops I have. Also,

Pentium II 366MHz

128MB RAM

NeoMagic video/audio chipset

1024x768 Active matrix LCD screen

gQV8gXq.jpg

This is an old HP laptop.

Celeron 433MHZ. It actually has 128KB of cache, so its pretty fast

128MB Ram

800x600 Passive Matrix LCD

qxRSeaT.jpg

Here is the old laptop I got most recently:

AMD K6-2 350MHz

160MB RAM

800x600 Passive Matrix LCD

ESS AudioDrive Solo

ATi Rage LT 8MB

BLh6slB.jpg

This is my Pentium 3 machine, Its pretty much configured with hardware all from around 1998-1999

Pentium 3 500MHz

256MB SDRAM

ATi Rage 128 Pro 32MB

ESS Allegro

some NIC.

Seagate 8 and 12GB drives

uLN8CgK.jpg

Old shit no one cares about but me.

Finally got the pics of my old laptop up. Specs are below.

400MHz Pentium II

64MB onboard RAM (plan on finding an old 128MB stick and throwing it in to max it out)

ATI RAGE PRO LT 4MB AGP 2x

40GB Hitatchi IDE hard drive

16X CD-ROM drive (I think it's 16x, anyway)

1.44MB removable floppy drive

1024x768 Active Matrix LCD (I believe)

3AHr battery (I can still get about 1.5 to 2 hours on it when using word and similar programs)

h3L4pze.jpg

xeT1N1i.jpg

One of the stress/age cracks. :(

P2gYzSJ.jpg

Sorry that they're a little blurry. Camera settings were off a little bit.

lj30xVa.jpg

CGfbtBZ.jpg

This is the little dock port.

fHRhk7z.jpg

dQF4XDU.jpg

Another one of the stress/age cracks. You can see where it's a little pushed up in the corner. I think this is also causing the backlight to act a little goofy when you have the screen at a certain angle, or you're jiggling it around.

tLRa2ZR.jpg

This keyboard is in GREAT shape for how old it is.bwoDAaY.jpg

Little wear on the space key though (as expected).

uA8AghG.jpg

Again, a little blurry. My fault.

The screw for the hard drive cover came out, so this was how I had to fix it.

I think it's a 14" class. And later on tonight I'll try to get a video of it booting up and shutting down. Maybe some GTA 2, but no promises.

I can't show it, but in our holiday house in spain we have a CRT monitor on the attic. The res that was possible is 640x480 or 800x600 or something like that. The PC we've got there is a P4 2.8GHz and a Radeon x800 All-In-Wonder with 256MB VRAM. Still good enough to play Terraria :D

Here's a few things you don't see every day anymore:

Voodoo 5 5500 AGP 64MB

210xatw.jpg

Dual Pentium 3 1GHZ (old school dual core ;))

2vlpgdt.jpg

A real fully working Quantum Bigfoot 2.1GB 5.25" HD and a Geforce 256 AGP 32MB (the first ever Geforce :D)

2rnae6p.jpg

The pictures are clickable so you can see the full version (4000x3000).

Although the bigfoot is fully working, the noise it makes will make your head hurt. it is THAT annoying.

The dual P3 is bought last year for ~17 euros. It works but if you look real close there's some blown up component. So it is really unstable. running windows and light programs is fine... but 1 game and it crashes within 30 seconds.

the voodoo 5 i actually rescued from a certain death. It is 99% working. it shows some strange barely noticeable stuff when running but its a voodoo 5 and its awesome :P

I have a few more old school stuff lying around here... ill see about posting some more pics later.

I have no signature

I LOVED the sound my old Bigfoot TS made (I had the 19.2GB top-end one).
