Can you make an adapter so I can fit 75x75mm coolers for LGA 115x onto 60x60mm AM1 sockets?

Asking for a friend

definitely NOT because I want to put a dark rock pro 4 on an Athlon 5350

Either make an adapter bracket similar to mine or if there's room on the mounting arms drill new holes and run some bolts or rod through. I bet someone has done it on the internet already, there's guides for 115x to 775 and vice versa.

You're thinking too small. How about PCIe to PCI? I hear one of the LMG fellas could have used that recently.

I have some SATA to IDE here, but I need some IDE to SATA and some AGP  to PCIe.

That would be correct. A lot of them tended to sound like hairdriers, especially as time wore on.

I love how the RAM is labelled Athlon X4. Who knew that the RAM was secretly the CPU? (Joke. I know where the CPU actually goes)

Love,

I think that's just a passive heatsink for the CPU with no fan. Not sure as I chucked the shuttle box in the trash can after taking the pics.

A processor on a co-workers desk.  It's an IBM watercooled processor from a long gone server.  Banana for scale...  Big handle for inserting it, the water port is on the left side of the last photo.  It has a metal plug inserted.

I'm gonna let you guys pick the GPU I use in an AGP Pentium D system. I've got a motherboard, Pentium D 945 and massive heatsink in the mail. But I'm torn on what gpu to use.

i sold my agp 7800GS for 120$ so that's out of the picking

The options are, from top to bottom, an XFX 256mb GeForce 7300GT, Sapphire 512mb Radeon x1650 Pro, or the engineering sample 512mb 7600GT

Fun fact, the 7600GT has supposedly never been even tested, I got it still packed in a sealed brown box covered in Nvidia stickers, never actually used it myself.

The BFG 6800 Ultra OC I have goes for between $100 and like $400, usually around $150 for the big single fan blower style. The 6800 Ultra was cream of the crop and a good leap forward just before PCIe dropped.

Higher end AGP cards in general have been ballooning in price lately. If you want the absolute best AGP cards (aka the HD 3850/4670) be prepared to spend out the ass.

Hell even the X1650 Pros and 3650's have been going up like crazy which sucks ass for me.
