Failed to install 2018-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 PC

Hi,

On my X240, it's failing to install the latest 2018-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 PC.

 

I'm currently on Windows 10 Build 16299.248

 

The update fails to install every time.

 

How can I fix this?

Have you tried downloading it from the Update Catalog and manually installing it?

or Stop the Windows Update service and then delete the Software Distribution folder then restart then try to do the Windows Update.

This had worked for me several times when WU wouldn't install or hangs up when installing.

 You can try  a system reaper or a windows reinstall but keep your data.

The thing is. It downloads just fine. the issue is when it goes to restart, it doesn't show the "Getting Windows Ready" thing. It just does a normal reboot
