Keeping my feet on the ground, for now, my dream i can own is the Lexus LS430, bagged up, shaved emblems, all black.

GATO28.jpg.e4f6c393fe375c190f85b6eb17f4469d.jpg

Or a white/champagne, bagged, UCF20 LS400 sitting on Weds Bazreias.

And a dream car that i can't own is the Buick GNX, unfortunately impossible to achieve, maybe i can pick a GN one day, but never a GNX.

If airplanes are included in this, then my ideal airplane combination is something along the lines of building a Kitfox STi for backcountry and local VFR flying:

Image result for kitfox sti

And an Aerostar 601P for cross country flying:

N26DS-10.jpg

For now though, I'll have to settle for a lowly Rockwell Commander 112 (a much more achievable goal at the moment):

If someone made a souped up crazy version I'd buy it. Only good looking Toyata ever.

I still have a thing for Supras and MR2s. But they're too old now for me to actually want one. I had a thought that if Mazda carved out a compact sports car lineup, surely Toyota can get something going if they revived the MR2.

I do want to add that the only reason the Toyota 86 is my dream car is because I can actually afford it. I just don't because apartment life (can't really have more than one car), I don't want a coupe as my primary car (especially with insurance rear seats), and I have a motorcycle that lets me get into trouble.

Really no one said the Nissan Skyline? Common guys, this is the perfect blend of sports cars that asian population loves, mixed with what looks like a tad bit of american muscle on the body.

Only 6-7 more years until the R34 is legal in the US.

For me, my dream car would be the Acura/Honda NSX

OR

A '71-72 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-X

Obviously the ones pictured are souped up version, so the platforms would make for a great project car.

I know it's weird, but I recently found this on Craigslist and would buy it if I had the money:

https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/bnc/ctd/d/2012-chevrolet-express/6525691306.html

I mean, it's about the same size as a U-Haul truck, and most importantly, lets me use bus lanes...

However, I think my true dream car is a bone stock JZA80 Supra twin turbo 6 speed coupe, because I've wanted one for years.

I actually have an entire dream garage, which so far consists of (I add new cars/vehicles to it every now and then):

  • The aforementioned Supra
  • Bone stock Nissan R32 GTR
  • Mercedes 560SE (not 560SEL) W126
  • BMW E39 wagon with M5 powertrain swap
  • 1987-89 Toyota Crown GS130G (wagon; Middle East model)
  • Toyota Crown GRS180 (Chinese model)
  • Toyota Cressida MX80
  • 1983 Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 (as if that isn't obvious from my profile pic)
  • Bone stock Nissan S13
  • Bone stock NA Miata

Mine would be either a fully decked out Hummer H1 or HMMWV, or 1960's Toyota FJ40. As far as new cars go, something like the new diesel F-150 or a Toyota Land Cruiser.

Ideally, both a 911 R (or the Touring pack 991.2 GT3) and GT3 RS. Not interested in anything turbo (Turbo, GT2) because they don't sound as good as the NA cars.

More realistically, last-gen Boxster Spyder or Cayman GT4. The new ones with the turbo-4 are faster but sound awful...why spend so much money on something that sounds so bad?

Finally if the rumored M2 CS comes out....I'll be trading in the SS (Holden Commodore) on that.

how is that legal???

it sounds like you could be an accidental suicide bomber with that kind of acceleration

I have no idea how its legal but Im pretty sure we are getting close to the point where federal governments are going to step in and go "Just no, absolutely not. You are not build a street legal car with 2000 BHP and a top speed of 300 MPH. Just no, we dont want blow-overs from the 80's race car days. Get it out of here"

i guess they would have to be more mainstream before it'd be an issue

if there was maybe an advanced drivers license for such barely legal cars then it would be less likely that someone would kill themselves with additional advance training that should be quite strict (like the NYC street test, that test is really strict; also i still think you'd have to have a way to handicap your HP in urban cities since you can really only go 20-25 MPH anyway, too much acceleration won't do you any good)
