Build Your Own SUPER FAST Thumb Drive!

  • 3 weeks later...

Hey so I have been doing my due diligence and have come across a question that I can't find an answer too.  So if  a PCIe AHCI or M.2 key B drive is installed rather than a SATA B+M key M.2 would I get the higher read/write speeds of the PCIe M.2?  Im looking at a Samsung PM851 256GB SATA M.2 and the PCIe AHCI version. There is HUGE difference in speeds!  I just cant imagine my luck would be that good... 1000mb/s read/write thumb drive HA!!
