I think Gigabyte trolled Nvidia the new AMD cards does not have Auorus but are now named Gaming!

It is legal to provide incentives to sellers of your product to follow branding guidelines, other companies do not factor into it as it is an opt in policy and does not ban sale of competitor products, the partners just have to have different branding on their Nvidia products to differentiate. In other words it is legal because they aren't directly doing anything to stifle competition directly and the indirect affect has a plausible (and imo valid) reasoning (ie these cards look the same, Joe Smoe won't know the difference)

this one does have tig cable in part list, and although i have no fucken clue what its lift tig, seems to be the one

My hat is off to you sir.  That is the one.  I spent hours searching forums, googling all sorts of part numbers and what not.  I appreciate the effort.  It's just a shame it's not worth the price of the parts to repair.   I need a schematic to fix this one

there is product number (Inverter Welding Mikrotig 150 – 58150), just request it from awelco directly. They should provide it since its discontinued

And just to be sure, they recommend you check the pcb for the part number, should be base 5680 or bas 5679) and both are also attached, since i have no clue which is in the link and not even close to understanding them)

To drive the point home: if there is a product, there is product info. The AIBs wont remove the existing cards, they might hide them at best, but they are gonna stay. Not having them sold through tier1 retailers is way bigger indicator then having product pages

I think Sapphire's Nitro and some EVGA cards go in that direction to some extent.

The manual says its 5680 didnt think to check it b4

It looks like the next model, so it is likely that is is for all intents and purposes as a product the same.  It may even be identical on the inside (I'll have to manually check components and start tracing routes to find that out though).

Some of the numbers match and some don't. I am expecting only minor variance when I get into the nitty gritty of it.  I expect it'll be changes in  component tolerance and rating more than values.   The reason many people would be saying they are the same is because essentially they are.  Just a different case and by looks the newer model has more power control features.

Some of you guys are still missing the point of why this is such a scummy action by Nvidia.  Its not that you (in particular) don't care about branding or "names on a box" etc.  We are informed PC enthusiasts so obviously I expect that most of the people in LTT forums are not necessarily swayed by branding alone when making purchasing decisions.  The problem is that Nvidia is hijacking all of the most popular AIB gaming sub-brands (sub-brands whose popularity they were not alone in establishing) so that Joe Blow, the average PC noob who just buys whatever ROG hardware because "its the best", will now be buying GeForce-only cards going forward, without even necessarily realizing it.  Its pathetic and I honestly don't understand why a single person here would actually be applauding such behavior, as the ultimate victim in all of this is consumer choice...

TBH, I have yet to meet someone who buys PC parts who is an absolute noob, they usually buy prebuilt stuff like alienware.
