Feels.

I've quite a few projects i have planned, case modding my main pc for a front mounted fan, (full metal with a glass cover on front full tower case). Cable management in my project build and my parents pc. And solving the uh...mystery of my 2700X hitting 5, 6, 7MHZ on all 8 clocks o.O.

Are you using your 2700X to fold and if you are what temp is it running at ? My new system has a 2700X using 10 threads  for F@H the CPU is at aound 77% load and 75C on the stock cooler I'm trying to figure out if that OK or if I should be looking for an AIO.

EDIT - I also have a R7 1700 and that's at 61C with the same load.

Yes, I bought it as at a cheap price and build a cheap project build for $600, no monitor (had a spare anyway). So far it's been folding 2 days straight and this is literally the first thing I've used it for. Temps have ranged between 80C-83C full load with F@H just stock cooler like you and 1 case fan (waiting on noctuas) otherwise it runs around ~74C stable. This is going to be a solid endurance test for it. And CPUID has to be lying to me lol, i'm recording now with task manager open as well.
My main pc is on an I7 9700k and has held stable full load with multiple programs and gaming at same time around 60C-79C.

Thanks I was woundering if I'd messed up the paste with all the messing around with that stupid latch system but if your temps are the same as mine I guess not.

It is a very stupid latch system...but hopefully they cease from using it on coming generations!

Awesome, what OS are you installing?
I'm running "free" windows on the two secondary systems atm. I want to work with Manjaro here sometime soon.

I would give Ubuntu a try if some of your rigs are dedicated to folding. There have been may tests done by some of our top folders that have noticed upwards of a 10% increase in output by using Ubuntu over Windows!

Finally have a full 6/6 on jobs for the first time in the last day I'd say. Biggest two are 16.3k and 5k GPU/GPU so they're busy a while at least.

Also finally got the air panels for my case and popped the fan to the top of the heatsink.  Immediately the thermals improved 5C even with the front panel on so accounting for that probably 8-10 easy.  Poor thing just needed some air!  Now to resist the urge to by more NF-A12x25's...

Ah, so you're saying it might be better for me to switch over to BOINC for a bit.
