Starting January 1st, 2021, we will be handing out awards based on new higher folding badge thresholds. These new values have been decided due to the increase of power a GPU can provide; this has made it much easier to achieve badges in recent years. Anyone holding a current badge will be grandfathered in! This means you won't have your badge downgraded after the new thresholds come into effect.    F@H Badge Thresholds In order to be rewarded with the Folding @ Home badge, please

Thats no problemo. The passkey is not connected to the teams. Just to you as a user. Input it and youre ready to go ;)

Had one a few ago but it was a bad WU (11759), I'm hoping we don't get alot of those.

Bad WUs outside of beta or advanced are fairly rare. Make sure to dial back any overclocks that you have; F@H is much more sensitive to instability than pretty much any game.

Made an account just to ask for this. 
I installed the Folding@Home installer, and it has been on for 2 days now, however my GPU (RX5700XT) is not being utilized (No Projects at all).

Does anyone know how I can get the folding client to pick up my GPU?

 

Specs:

Ryzen 7 3700x

32GB 3200 RAM

Gigabyte RX5700XT

ASUS x570 Motherboard

yip! you have to set client-type to advanced. You can do this in the advanced client -> configure -> expert -> extra client options ->Add ->Name: client-type | Value: advanced

My last info is that navi will only run advanced core22 for now to further test its stability etc. It was planed to open general up for navi, but I think thats postponed now due to COVID

Unfortunately this did not solve the issue. CPU is being used to the max, but the GPU is still at 0,0% usage.

I'll let my PC run on CPU only for now, but if anyone knows a possible fix, i'd love to hear it.

You did setup a GPU slot..... Right?
If not it won't fold on the GPU. Could also be you simply haven't received a WU for the GPU yet.

 

This is how you do it.

Go into "Configure" and then select "Slot". Select "Add" and you'll see the box come up with the option to add a CPU or GPU slot. Simply click on the GPU slot tab/selection and then save it. The program will then configure itself, setup the slot and then get a WU for it. DO NOT change any values when adding it, defaults are what you want.

Hi guys. 

I recently saw the call for FAH to assist against the C19 fight. I just recently installed FAH and I joined team Linus. I ready to do my part but I am in need of some assistance as it seems like my GPU util is running really low. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Managed to get a good one today (11762) and it's working ATM.

The one I did yesterday was just feeeeekin brutal in comparison but got it done.

I switched to rosetta@home and gpugrid while waiting for new fah work units. Fah backend cant deal with the donor increase. I hope they get new And better servers as donations while fighting for covid19

same here... rig is mostly on idle. Have decided to fire up BOINC in the mean time. Since I am bored and have to stay at home I am currently looking into writing a script to dynamically allocate resources to my BOINC and F@H docker. F@H all the time, but when no work for F@H ill BOINC
